Sumi Coffee Table

Sumi takes its name from the Japanese word for corner - the detail that defines it. At the top of each tapered leg, a hand-cut dovetail joint is cut into the 45-degree corner, making the joinery the focal point rather than an afterthought. It is a quiet nod to the Japanese tradition of honouring construction as part of the design.

The solid legs taper from a chamfered, octagonal base to a clean square top, refined without being delicate. The veneered top ensures a stable, enduring surface that will remain true for generations.
